We’ve all done it. Yes, I know you’ve done it, too.
You licked a spoonful of frosting straight out of the can. The sad part is that we actually savored that store-bought flavored sugar, so seemingly unaware of the creamy, buttery, mouth-watering homemade frosting that exists in the world. There are recipes galore. But if you’re looking for something simple and meets your dietary needs (lactose intolerance), then this is the recipe for you. Enjoy by the spoonful! Er…I mean…enjoy it on cakes and cupcakes.
Ingredients:
- 2 sticks softened butter (oil-based)
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Directions:
Beat all ingredients until smooth and whippy. You can also add cashew milk (or other nut-based milk) to the mixture depending on the texture.
